From Struggle to Strength: Stephanie’s Journey
The day Stephanie held her newborn daughter should have been filled with pure joy. Instead, it was clouded by the fog of postpartum depression, amplified by her bipolar disorder. In that moment of both love and struggle, she made a promise – not just to her child, but to herself and every mother facing similar challenges.
Stephanie’s journey with bipolar disorder began long before motherhood. Diagnosed in her early twenties, she navigated the ups and downs of her condition, often feeling isolated and misunderstood. Becoming a mother added a new layer of complexity to her life, bringing both immense love and unprecedented challenges.
As she sought resources to help manage her condition while parenting, Stephanie realized a crucial gap in support for moms with bipolar disorder. This realization became the seed for The Avila Success Institute.
“I knew I couldn’t be the only one,” Stephanie recalls. “There had to be other moms out there, trying to balance the joys of parenthood with the realities of bipolar disorder.”
With determination born from her own experiences, Stephanie founded The Avila Success Institute. She envisioned a comprehensive support system – one that would offer not just information, but real, practical tools for managing mood swings and parenting challenges.
The institute’s cornerstone became an innovative app, featuring interactive elements like quizzes and discussion forums. But Stephanie didn’t stop there. She incorporated mindset and behavior shift challenges, parenting education, and self-awareness tools – all designed to foster confidence and balance in the lives of moms with bipolar disorder.
As The Avila Success Institute grew, so did Stephanie. She embraced an abundance mindset, constantly seeking ways to improve herself and her offerings. Her upcoming six-week mindset shift challenge, focusing on bipolar disorder education and self-awareness habits, is a testament to her commitment to continuous growth and support for her community.
Stephanie’s vision extends beyond the digital realm. She’s currently applying for a National Science Foundation fellowship grant to support her research on deception perception, aiming to deepen the institute’s knowledge base and expand its impact.
“Every day, I’m driven by the knowledge that our work is making a real difference,” Stephanie says. “When I hear from a mom who’s found balance and joy through our programs, I know we’re on the right path.”
As she looks to the future, Stephanie’s goals are ambitious but rooted in her unwavering commitment to her mission. She aims to double the institute’s customer base in the next 12 months and reach $100k in revenue within the first year. But for Stephanie, success isn’t just about numbers – it’s about the lives touched and the families strengthened.
“We’re not just building an app or a institute,” Stephanie explains. “We’re building a community of strong, resilient moms who support each other through the ups and downs of bipolar disorder and parenthood.”
From that pivotal moment in the hospital to today, Stephanie’s journey has been one of transformation – from struggle to strength, from isolation to community. Through The Avila Success Institute, she continues to fulfill her promise, helping moms with bipolar disorder find the balance, confidence, and support they need to thrive.
Join Stephanie and The Avila Success Institute in this journey of growth, support, and empowerment. Together, we can rewrite the story of bipolar disorder and motherhood – one strong, resilient mom at a time.
